All of my kids have come to me either from a rescue, from the streets (the cats) or directly from a friend who couldn't keep them anymore.

They also say that here's some great advice for bringing home a puppy, especially if you're going to introduce him or her to another family dog. Purchased "Dutch"purebred German Shepherd with papers that are in German from a breeder in Standish,Maine.He is Now 5 years old,loves people,great disposition free of any hip problems.Dutch weighs 92lbs. I have had people stop me to ask where I got Dutch and how handsome he is.I would like to add that he loves women.He is a great dog,I cannot say enough about him. This is my second german Shepherd purchased from the same breeder.

i was picked up in san diego the breeder who bredded me and my siblings where selling us so. my mommy thought of getting a puppy for her for her 19th birthday so she called and i was the one she picked. my mommy says i was so chubby and cute i was sitting on her lap so my mommy picked me i been in her life for know 5 years and i love her so much

See this little oddball? She is the oddball dog of my dreams. I have long admired "mutts" with amusing qualities and she is a real sideshow of a dog in one little package! Her name is Dubs and she is the 25 pound boss of our house which includes a 75 lb. shepherd and a 100 pound Lab.
She is a Humane Society critter and in my opinion everyone who wants a dog should check out their local Humane Soc!

Theres no reason for anybody to go to the breeder of pet store when there are animals dying everyday on the streets and in pounds. Every breeder dog i know has health issues and is wicked hyper. ADOPT DON'T SHOP
The breeder I got my last 2 dogs from is also a friend. I have also had rescue dogs.
My owner was totally stressed because she had lost her toy poodle "Perry". She felt like she was the most alone person in the entire world. So she bought me at a pet store, something she isnt pround of, but I am so thankful she took me home. She has given me love, food, water, exercise everything I need. I love her so much for it........................
I found/found out about Daddy by accident really, we were driving to a grocery store and saw a sign that said "Male Pit Bull free to good home", it raised a bunch of red flags because I know there are a lot of people in this town who would love to get their hands on a "free" APBT for breeding or guarding purposes. I went home, the sign still nagging at my conscience and making me feel guilty for originally wanting a puppy, so we got the number and I called them upon getting home. We introduced the dogs and brought him home that night. He was originally rescued by the family that gave him to us from a horrible man who severely beat and abused him, and poor Daddy still has the physical scars from his past abuse, yet he's one of the most biddable, friendly, and happy go lucky dogs I've ever met.
Peg, our first family dog came from our vet clinic at the time when I had just become a teenager, we were taking in a pet for an exam and I saw Peg behind the counter. They were ready to take her to the high-kill shelter because they'd been trying for months but people were automatically disinterested when they found out she had "pit bull" in her, there's no doubt she would have been euthanized there, "pit bulls" and mixes thereof were extremely unpopular here at the time. My mother finally convinced her husband to let us adopt her.

I was adopted from norrh shore animal league. my family dosen't know anything about my history but they on't care they just love me.
I was adopted from animal control and have been loved ever since.
My last two babies were found in the road. Our vet thought one was a baby about 8 weeks old the other one was about a year old. I went from door to door to see if they belonged to anyone and no one claimed them. The baby had already been rolled by a car, both were full of ticks and fleas. They both have been with us now for a year and we ALL couldn't be happier.

Someone dumped me on the side of a country road like I was a piece of trash...my Paw-Paw (Grandpaw) was driving by and I ran after his truck as fast as I could until I could run anymore. He didn't have the heart to just keep driving so he stopped & rescued me. A week later I met Mommy & she took me home with her & the rest is history. That mean human that threw me away, actually did me a favor cause I have the bestest home with someone who really cares & loves me.
All of us were apopted from the shelter, from the paper, and I was found on the street theoroitially. The people wanted me 'Gone" I finally SNIFF - met mom at JUST the right time.
Uh, Do you guys want him? ( after losing Ceasar) and they said Yes, ya, you can have him!

As long as there are millions of animals euthanized each year in shelters.....then there are NO responsible breeders. ALWAYS ADOPT!!!!
Mommy rescued me and said if I'd have one more litter she would let me keep one of my pups furever. So I has Junior and I so glad I do. My other 3 pups are in loved homes that mommy keeps in touch with and dey have great homes dey do.
Mom got me from soneone she worked with the ladies sister-in-law said she was allerigic to me. Mom says they just did not want me but took me in because the lady they got me from and to go live in a apartment.Mom told them she would find a good home (hahaha). I am still here mom tell all of the puggies that she rescues that she will bring them home to find a good home.I had at one time 5 sibblings but 2 have passed on.Out of all 6 of us only 2 were bought.The rest was rescues.Mom is the best.

Cookie was in a newpaper ad from a family who could not keep her any longer without hurting her healthy, so they sold her to us for $50.

I watched 'them' go as I growed. BUT THEN, my owners Uncle said, He'd take me if I got in his Van & was "cool" while driving around. After a few Hrs. being on my best behavior!!! I had a new home :)
SOON, my Daddy drove us 2 Maine to meet a Girl he was always on the phone with! ~ She fell in wuv w/ me! So Daddy let me stay w/ her 4 training & swimming :)
Few Months later, they Married & I became a Mommys' Boy!!! (lol) & Now, I'm always by her side!.
SO BASICALLY, BEAR WAS GIVIN AWAY 2 MY HUBBY, & ENDED UP MINE A BIT B4 I MARRIED HIS OWNER ON 9-9-99 lol

Nero just wondered into my life. He was a stray/byb product, and him covered in mange and fleas gave me a near heart attack so i figured they either didnt want him and/or didn't deserve him. SO I took my boy in, and OH What a dog! lol He's happy and often makes me wonder why anyone would do him that way?
well my dogs just came into my life and i was like so suprised that we had to get rid of 5 but we still have 2. there names are nico, harley, and the ones we got rid of there names are bo, jax, maya, sky, and rex. they were so cute. bo and nico were brother and sister and maya and jax were bro and sis.well thats it for now i got to go.
If anybody really wants a dog or loves them then they will save their life aND rescue one. ADOPTION SAVES LIVES...HAVE A HEART?..THEN ADOPT!!!!!!
