That is like giveing your dog a whole bottle of regular syrup every day), poultry fat (this is nasty, very bad for dogs to have, makes them very fat and can get them sick), meat and bone meal (bone meal is fine, meat meal can be bad), animal fat with BHA and BHT (what a very bad ingredient in this food, why on earth would you want to give your dog this), chicken by-product meal (By products is not real meat and is very bad for the heart and immune system), rice (rice is the second worst food you can give your dog, rice is horrible for dogs. White rice is the worst, brown rice is fine!), animal digest (this is nasty, why would you give a dog animal digest?), salt (salt, is poisonous to dogs). Go to Old' Roy ingredients and answers and yahoo will pop up and it will tell you all the bad ingredients!  | | | | |

Delilah, sorry, you've really got to get your facts straight. No idea where you got the idea that white rice is horrible for dogs or salt is poisonous. Animal digest is just a stew of random parts from random animals... not actual digest. But it's still not a good ingredient. Poultry fat is bad because it's unspecified and could be any bird, dogs NEED a good fat source in their diet.
...ugh.

I have a dear friend who argued with me for a year that she couldn't afford anything but her store brand. When her beloved pet nearly died from eating the bad food she decided to go with a premium brand. Viola, the dog is healthier and she actually spends less $ per day with the new high quality food than with the old crappy food. | | | | |
