Denver has pooped in his crate three nights in a row now. He has NEVER done this before. I even got up last night at 3am to take him out, and he had some diharrea, and by 6:30am when I got out of bed, he was whining and had done it again. It seems like every poop for the last three days has been diharrea, and that he has no bowel control.

Time for a call to the vet?

Oh, and the crate is literally just big enough for him, so he always ends up covered in it, which means that I have to clean both him and the crate. Third day now that I'll be late for work.

diharrea? I'm pretty sure it's vet time shrug Huntington poops in his crate when he's sick and has diharrea

Something just popped into my head. A couple days ago, Denver had a chicken wing, and at one point he looked like he was trying to swallow it whole. I didn't think much of it because he wasn't choking, whining, or crying, but could that have something to do with it? Maybe bowel blockage or something?

Sounds like he could be allergic to the chicken. If he is eating fine, does not seem lethargic and is drinking fine then it may ne allergies. My pup cannot have even the slightest bit of chicken or he will get the poops every couple of hours for the next week. Also, your pup is very young and if this is a new food for him, it may not be allergies but just a case of new food on a new tummy. Same thing with babies, when a new food is introduced, they will get poopies too.

If you are that worried, a quick trip to the vet never hurts, though.

He is eating and drinking fine, and does not seem lethargic at all really. I've switched his food before which gave him the runs, but it's never been to the point where he lacks the bowel control to hold it for 3 hours in his crate.

way to go Seeing Denver's only 4 months, you should keep him away from food other than his dog food and treets way to go

I thank you for your input, but I was wondering what to do in this situation, not what I should feed my dog.

Denver, if I was you.. I'd just call the vet to see what they think. If you have a good vet, they won't tell you to come in unless they feel it needs to be dealt with now. So maybe just give the vet a call and tell them what's going on. Personally, I think he should probably go in as it's 3 days in a row and it's not solid.
