My Diary

I am back again..

Dear Diary and furiends, Dad had a wonderful weekend and loved being home. He did most of his exercises but cheated on some. He is moving around with the cane and doing well. We had to change the house around a bit. Sadly we had to toss out Snickers bed. It was an over stuffed chair that he was given seven years ago when Mom and dad got new stuff to keep him off of the sofa. Since then they have even a newer sofa. His chair took up part of the doorway so it had to go. Have you ever seen a dog missing a chair. He has been so hyper.

He was also scared of the cane but he is much better since a few days have gone by. Mom takes dad to his PT and OT tomorrow so he will be out for the first time since coming home. He has a DR appointment every day this week. No rest for Mom. BOL!

I still fit right next to dad on the sofa in the crack. It is so warm there and nice. I am so close to daddy and he feels so warm on me. Almost as good as when I lay under the heater.

I have sent out thank yous. I think to every fur who was here fur us in our time of need. If you did not get one please send us a pawmail..we do not want to furget anyone. We also sent out more thank yous in the mail to those who sent cards. If you have not got yours yet please wait a couple days and let Mom know. They are cute notes , right from me.

I will close fur now and will update soon. I hope from here on in it will be good news. We are so ready to toss out 2009...

I am dancing my wittle legs off!!

Dad is home !!! Oh my goodness it has been a long 2 and a half weeks. He came home today. With all kinds of funny things. He has this stick he uses to walk with. Mom says it is a cane. Doesn't look like any candy cane I have had before.
He has a walker and a shower chair all kinds of neat things. He is so happy to be home. Thank you fur all the prayers and to all who sent him cards and well wishes. He will be having PT and OT for weeks to come but we are praying for a full recovery.
Snickers is scared of daddy's cane. He acts like he thinks dad will hit him with it. So Mom was walking with it showing Snickers how it will not hurt him. He is already getting better about it. Him keeps laying on dads feet.
Me I am still Mom's baby. I sure missed my dad but I can be found in Mom's lap. After all I is her guard dog.
Mom hopes to be able to find sometime tomorrow to start writing Tha nks yous to all of our true friends.
Mom says no one ever wants to go through things like this but if they have to..they should all be members of dogster. You dawgs and Moms are what carried her through the two weeks . She would come home and find upliftting notes on facebook and notes on dogster and cards in the mailbox. It was a true blessing and we thank all of you from the bottom of our hearts.
I better go. Mom says we had a long day and it is time to call it a night. Thank you pals your the best!!!

Dear Diary,

I want to Thank Dogster fur DOTD. Fur once I was not writing to try to win but I was writing to let all my furiends know how dad was with out making 50 pawmails. I am lazy in that way. I am grateful I was picked and I know my dad was happy fur me. He got a big smile.

I hate to start with more bad news but I have decided to keep this diary to help myself cope. Today I heard that MC has passed away. He was a good pal of mine from The Wild West group. He was a kind tender loving cat who only wanted to be liked. He had a heart of gold. I know it because, he sent me beautiful flowers when dad got sick. ( he told me he stole them from a lady's garden. Mom says it is the thought that counts. ( big smile) Rest in Peace my dear Pal.
Last night while Mom was with dad. Grandma called to tell Mom that our two nephews were in ER room next to dad. They were t-boned in their SUV. A man ran a stop sign and hit them. The SUV rolled 5 times end over end. A side from minor cuts and scrapes they are OKAY. Please add them to my prayer list . Thank YOU.
Dad is walking good with his walker. Still sitting after only a little while because he gets out of breathe but he is coming along great. He is in a happy mood now. Loves his roommate and things are looking up. Thank you for your support. It has been worth a ton of gold. I always knew dogster people are kind loving people and boy has it been shown.
Your all great and I can never repay any of you for being there for us. My family is very grateful. Mom says she is getting drunk when 2009 ends because it is a year she would like to furget. ( She really doesn't mean that) BOL The drunk part.

I was woofed that I got DOTD.!! OMD I did not even know. What exciting news and on what should have been my wedding day. I can not wait until Mom goes to see dad so she can tell him! He will be so excited fur me!

I think Mom is losing it...

I spent all day looking fur a gift fur Laci. As some of you know we were going to be married tomorrow.

I went shopping at the gift store. Bought her a dozen roses and wrote a very nice message and..MOM...sent it fur me. She sent it back to my page.

This is the second time she has done this. Snickers sent a gift to a friend as well and Mom posted it to our page. What ever will I do with her???

Mom's can live with them and can't live without. BOL

Dear Diary..

Sorry I have not wrote here to you and my pals. Dad is in rehab and working very hard at getting stronger so he can come home. Mom has had to go to the hospital and watch so she can learn how to help him get stronger. He calls me every night and talks with me on the phone. I am learning to sing and I sing to him. It makes him smile.
Mom has been working hard to tie up the stress that has made dad sick. She has been in contact with the lawyers to the farm deal and pretty much told them..to crap or get off the pot. Too long this has gone on and dad is unable to stand up fur himself. So, Mom who has always kept her month shut has begun to open it and tie things up. She wants it as stress free as possible when dad comes home.
He is doing arm and leg excerices to help him gain the strenght back. It tireds him out fast with the lung problem but the dogtor told him to relax and take his time. Yesterday he did walk with a walker around the whole floor. ( with wheel chair behind him if he got tired.) He did it!!!
He has a new roommate a man from North Korea and he was a professer at a large collage so him been giving dad advice for our human brofor who is plannng on contining his schooling with Brown Collage. This helps so dad is not sitting there thinking. The nice man who likes to watch TV all night has been moved to his own room where he can watch TV all night and not bother anyone.
Thank you, Thank you for the cards and well wishes. Mom has brought the cards to dad and he is thrilled and thank you for such kind and wonderful friends. Dogster Rules !!!
I will close as Mom has to go to the hospital soon today was house cleaning day and laundry. Then off to hospital fur the afternoon and night. Will update soon.

What day is it now????

The days just continue to run together.

Dad is doing very well. He is doing all his work on relearning to use his arm and leg. He has to go 2 times a day to work on building his strength.

His roommate was moved out and to a private room. He will be able to watch his TV all night now and not bother anyone.

There really si not much to write dad's day is pretty much the same. Up in the morning, get a shower, get dressed and hygiene skills and then breakfast. He then starts right in and he has all kinds of work from working his arm and leg to working his mind and his eyes. The Doctor told him today his vision was affected. Not to bad.

It is lonely here. I am not going to go in to writing about it because we get upset. Mom goes to work all night and then does morning errors and then to the hospital at noon to have lunch with dad. Today she left at 2PM when the PT lady came in. Home and to bed. Mom got a whole 4 hours sleep. She then tries to answer mail and phone calls. She told dad she would stop on her way to work to say Good night to him. The hospital is only 5 minutes from Mom's job.

I have to tell all you furs something...Laci and I have decided to postpone our wedding. We just can not do it with dad in the Hospital. We want him here. He has been so excitied the past 9 months while we woofed about it. We will let everyfur know when we will have it. Just check the wedding page for the new date.

Thank You Laci and Terri for your support . We love you. Thank you to everyfur who has been sending pawmails and gifts. You are the best. We love all of you. You have made a very hard thing a little easier with your prayers and support.
There really is not much more to write. The saying is ..No news is good news. We will woof soon.

Another day gone..

Today dad took a shower and washed his hair. He needed help and did it by sitting on a shower chair. He is very very tired. He told Mom he has not slept for the 3 nights he has been there. Mom knew they were giving him pills to help him sleep. What she did not know was the reason dad can not sleep is the man in the bed next to him has his TV on all night. Dad needs it very quite to sleep. Mom asked dad if he told the nurses and he said yes. They told him they would give him his pill at 9 PM instead of 11 pm. Don't you think they should just make the man turn his TV off during the night??

Mom told dad he either gets a little tougher with the nurses or she will say something.

On the other hand they released him from speech today. He does not need it. We kind of knew that but they tested him anyway just to be sure. He was also told he will most likely be in the hospital for another two weeks. Darn and Mom told me I could maybe see dad in a few days. Sniff !
I got a belated gift in the mail today from my best man Murray. He sent me a new collar with my name on it. Pictures to follow. When Mom gets time. His Mom sent Mom a gift that says..A house is not a home with out a dog ! Bet cha all agree with that.

Again..I can not thank all of you enough fur your prayers. I know dad thanks you and Mom too. I will close and woof again soon. Mom will handle the TV problem!

Day 4..

Well, it has been a busy four days and here we are. Dad is doing good the doctor told him and Mom today. ( POP are helping) He has his eval for speech and a lady read him a story and dad had to answer questions. He gots one wrong. BOL He did speech two times today. His speech is good but Mom asked to have it check since she kind of thought it sounded a little bit different. Not that he can not be understood but it is better to be safe then sorry.
He is very weak and he will need a lot of work. He is in good spirits but he so misses his home and being here with us. I want to Thank you all again. He is doing good so please keep the prayers flying. I hope he comes home soon. He doesn't get to spend much time in his room during the week. He is in and out for all kinds of stuff. Mom hopes over the weekend she has more time with him. He calls at night or Mom calls him and I listen to him talk to me. I like it . I feel confort when I hear his voice. ( Mom does too)

Another update

Dear Furs, Today dad was moved over to rehab. Woohoo...he is going to start tomorrow on working on all the stuff to help him come home. Today they had him stand and walk with a grate belt. He only took about 20 steps and became to tired to go on so he stopped. PT man told dad and Mom that was very good fur his first day.
A new DR will be following him now that he is in the rehab place. There are pictures of doggies on the wall . Today Dad was talking with one of the nurses about me and how cute I am. ( Mom told me) Dad loves to talk about me..he called tonight to say goodnight and Mom let me listen to him over the phone. He said..hello little buddy..and my ears perked up. ( Yes I know they are big ears and are always standing up but I think they were more so tonight)

All of you have been so kind and we can not tell you how greatful we are. I promise Mom and I will Thank each on of you. It may take some time but it will get done. It is very hard to go through this but with prayers and furiends you make it. We have been very blessed with our dogster furiends. From when Grandpa passed in January and now with our dad being so sick. We have pulled through with the love of family and furiends. I thank you, Mom and Dad Thank you, Snick Thanks you. We will continue to up date here.
It is very late and Moms says her eyes will not stay open so we will close .

Day 2..

Dear Diary, It has been two whole days daddy has been gone. We were hopeing he would come home today. The DR said a couple more days in the hospital and then he has to go to a place to get rehab. I guess they teach him how to walk and use his arm again.
The Doctor told Mom it was not a very big stroke and that is a good thing. I am still keeping his sofa spot warm. I also had to keep mom in line tonight. She knows dad always puts me to bed at 10PM she was banging away on the computer so..I used my paw and started trying to open my own crate. Dad would be so proud of me. Going to bed on time. He is not going to happy with Mom...maybe I will not woof him.
Again I want to thank all of you who have left us messages in our pawmail box. I have even met a new couple furiends.

Hugs to every fur who has been so kind. We love you. Mom will tell dad all about your wonderful letters. We will update you all soon.

Another Day..

Last night was very lonesome. Mom did try to keep thiings nomal for us. I stayed right on the sofa where dad sits knowing he may come home today and his spot will be warm. ( Like he does for me)
Snick was so bad last night him was barking at everything but Mom knows he was listening more cuz daddy was not here and he wanted him home. Mom got many calls from friends and it helped. She knows the prayers are out there and with prayers we know we can do anything.
Thank you for all of our pawmails and warm hugs. We do so love all of you. We are sorry we could not answer everyfur but Mom read all the letters to us. We are sending one big Thank You to everyfur.
Today more testing and the DR said if no signs of another stroke over night maybe dad can come home today and go to PT from home. Keep your paws crossed.

Dear Diary

Today has been a sad day fur my famiily. I have so many furiends on dogster that I thought if I could write a post where they could all reqd it it would help my dad and Mom.

You see Mom came home today from work and dad thought her he needed to go to the ER. He did not feel well. Could not move his right hand or leg. Mom thought ...OH NO...Please God not what I think it is.
They went to the ER. It was what Mom thought, My Dad had a slight stroke. Mom says we need lots of prayers. I am asking all furs to put your paws together and pray fur my dad.

I miss curling up with him on the sofa and him petting me and Snick. He yells at Snick more then me put he loves Snick. I know him does.
I hope my teacher Mr Nikki and all my pals at school, and the Island know why I am sad and really not wanting to play. I hope to be back as soon as dad gets better.

Fur now I will curl up with a blankie that has daddy's smell and dream about him. Pray that he will come back home soon. The DR said it is not a bad stroke and he just needs some PT and OT.

Mom is home tonight she had to take the night off. She is trying to relax and answer some mail only it is not easy.

So fur now Snick and I will be away again. Thank you Furiends and please put your paws together fur us.

OMD !! Today was my 3rd woofday and Mom and Dad took me out for the day. We went for a nice ride to Petsmart where I got treated like a KING!!
I want to Thank all my furiends who gave me gifts and wrote me sweet pawmails. It really does mean alot! I love you guys and girls!

Mom said I am 21 in people years but no drinks fur me! Woof and I am of age. I also got special snacks and I am sharing with my brofur. I gots a new blankie coat from daddy and lots of hugs and pets.

Dear Diary

Is it true that in a couple months I will be a married Chihuahua? I think so. As a lot has gone on fur my family and I over the pass months. However, Laci never left my side. She is a powerful and strong Chihuahua. I am blessed to have her. Our love fur each other as dogs has grown.

I am excited about my up coming marriage to her and I know we will be very happy. ( how can we not , both our Moms are farmtown addicts) BOL...

Shout out !

Good Morning Diary, I need to give a shout out to each and everyone one who has sent me and my brofur the yummy free treats. We are unable to send to everyfur who has sent to us. See we are having problems with our account. We are locked out of our pages and many of our furriends pages. It happened last week and we pawmailed Dogster but by the time they got back to us we were up and running again. So we high pawed them and sent them on their way.

A couple days later we come on and the same thing. Now it has been this way fur about 4 days. Whenever we try to open our account all it does is circle and circle never opens. Same thing with many of out fur pages.

So if you have sent us a free box of yummies and have not got one back it is not that we do not want to we just can't. I guess we will call the big dog on Thursday when Mom is off from work. To see what the problem might be.

My Valentine!!

With all the love in the air. I decided I was going to ask a chihuahua to be my valentine. Thanks to HQ fur giving me some help with them little gifts to send. I asked Laci and she said Yes!!! WooHOO...I have a Valentine! Thank you Laci! Your a sweet friend and I am so happy you decided to be mine fur Valentine's Day. There is much love in the air. I am a shy guy but you make things easy.

Home from de vets!

Today my mom took me to de vet because yesterday I started not feeling well and had pawblems keeping my left eye open. She became worried and as soon as her came home we raced to de vets. I was acting better but she was still worried.
After a rather interesting time in de waiting room. Where I was harassed by a much larger then me Dobie. I have nothing bad to say about this breed so please no hate mail. I just don't understand why he continued to woof at me when all I was doing was trying to say a hello. Then on de other side there were not one, but two baby doggies bigger then me but only 3 months and 5 months old. They seemed to really like me. I said my hello's they smelled my butt and it was over. Big old Dobie continued to tell me what to do. Oh, did I say the two puppies were in training fur being police dogs. Not off on a good foot since they locked their Mom out of the car. She left her keys in there too. Oh dear, that must have been fun that day.
Now fur the reason I am posting. As I was saying I went there really early this morning and I was feeling better. I did try to tell the vet that however she insisted I have that thing stuck up me from behind. Ouchie. What the final story seems to be is. Mom cleaned yesterday and used lots of clorox in de restroon. The vet thinks it may have been to strong and made my eyes hurt and that could be why I was keeping one closed. It was irrating it. Same with my breathing. After a few embrassing tests I was sent home with a clean bill of heath. Mom was sent home with a minus sign in her check book. I am okay!! I did give Mom a big scared.
I want to Thank all the furs who said prayers for me. Sent me gifts and thought of me while I was being looked at. A big Thank you, you all mean so much to me and my family.

Mom and dad's dinner out...

Since I am not allowed in the humans eat places I stayed home with boring old man Snickers. ( Don't tell him I said that) Mom and dad went out with Uncle Bill and Aunt Donna. Months ago Mom had talked Aunt Donna into a dogsteer page for her two dogs Maxie and Scooter. You can find them in my coral. However Aunt Donna doesn't get on line much. All Mom could see was all them zealies points going to waste. So last night she asked Aunt Donna to go on line and give some to me. BOL Uncle Bill and Daddy were laughing at Mom. Cause she was almost pleading. hey to us they are money and we NEVER have enough!!! So all furs keep your paws crossed that my dear Aunt Donna will pass some on to me.

` Bad, Bad to the bone~

sniff, sniff...Princey Wrincy has been very bad. Mom went to Canada to the Big Falls and when she came home she bought me a new collar and scarf from Harly Motorcycle shop that says Bad to the bone. Ah, hum, so today we go to PetSmart but before we get there daddy stops fur gas. I sitting in the truck with mommie and a man comes by. Window is down and he stops to say I am so cute, then he puts his hand in by my Mommy and I get scared so I jump and try to bite him. Mommie yells at me and says sorry to the man. Then she tells me bad doggie...but I am wearing my Bad to the bone collar and scarf...am I not suppose to be bad? We go to Petsmart and meet my cousin Angel there. She is 9 months old and a American Bulldog and weights 54 pounds. I weight 8lbs. I jump on my cousin cause this is the first time I meet her and Mommy again yells at me. No, no Prince. That is your cousin be nice. Why I wearing Bad to the bone collar and scarf.
Then we walk around and I bark at everyfur in the store. then a small person comes running at me...and pets me realll fast...I bite at her hand and Mommie says NOOOOO, Prince, Stop..your very bad today. ( I am still wearing the bad to the bone collar and scarf)
Mom takes me to Uncle Jim's and I was playing with my cousin Trixie..she is a small doggie like me. Then I had her rag doll and she took it..without asking so I bark at her! Mommie yells...PRINCE stop it. Your being a real bad dog today. I am worried about you. Awww, did you not buy me a collar and scarf that says BAD TO THE BONE....???? Thats my story fur today.
Mom says, and I heard her..I may have to go to school for doggies. I don't want to go to school. That is what my human brother Jason always said.......

3. I work very hard greetings all new people who come to my home. I jump and jump up at them until they pick me up. This is when I work the hardest and smell them.

4. I have to wash my Mom and dads fingers and I try to lick bear toes. Mom always say No..Don't do that. Dad never shows his bear feets.

1. Where I was born in New Jersey with my real Mom and Dad.
2. I then moved to a pet store. I am not sure where that one was. All my Mom was told was that I didn't sell at Christmas time so after the holidays they moved me.

3. This was another Pet store in the mall only a mile from my furever home. When I moved in there the manager knew I was the dog for my mom.

4. Once I stayed with my Moms Sister. My Auntie. When Mom went away with dad for a vacation.

Happy New Year

So Mom is busy cleaning and getting ready for New year's. I hear her say I think I will give him a bath today and clean him up. I lower my head. I hate getting a bath. It is cold and when I comes out I shake more then I do daily. Oh yeah they wrap me is a towel but I am telling you it's cold. I should have some say in this matter shouldn't I? What does me being clean have to do with the New Year? The darn thing will come whether I am clean or not. However do I have any say? Not when your 7lbs and unable to fight. Oh I have heard all the stories about how I need to smell good, look nice, and be clean. So the girls will like me? Let me see ,bath with cold air and freezing or girl dogs I have to share my bed with and toys? Awww I'll take the bath. I am not giving up those new toys. Or my bed.
Thank you all who took time to send a bone to my cuz. She is doing better and we are all happy. I know that all the bones and messaging she got from all of you sure helped.

wow white stuff

Today here in New york my green grass is all white. Mommy says it is snow. She also says I cannot go out and play. To much of the snow and I may get lost. As she opened the back door to go out I ran between her legs. I hit the door step and that white stuff was all over my feet and it was not as nice as it looks. I thought it was like the white stuff I pull out of my pillow and the sofa. Oh no this stuff is real cold!! I put on my brakes and stopped right on the top step. I was back in the house in no time. I think I will stay inside and watch from my window. I am too little and not enough hair to go out there. More up dates to come.

Learning Dogster

My Mom is trying so hard to get me all set up here so I can make friends. She works overnights and doesn't have much time. Today she has worked very hard and is tired. She also took me to Petsmart, one of my fun places to go. I got my nails cut and my ears clean. Mom says I smell sooo good. I hope I soon will have a page like some of my doggie friends. I better close Mom needs sleep. Happy Tails to all....
